Counseling Approach

At times, we all feel as though our lives are out of balance. Balance brings a sense of peace, enjoyment, and fulfillment to our lives. Whether imbalance is caused by an outside event or an internal struggle, I work with clients to understand what may need adjusting or reframing in order to achieve balance in their lives. This practice is helpful for individuals, couples, and families.

It is my belief that individuals and social networks, such as family relationships, are formed by factors that are unique to each person and network.  Often when an individual or family encounters unwanted or unexpected change, the patterns of functioning within that network or practiced by the individual become strained.  By working together to examine how those patterns function, and through re-telling a person or family’s narrative to incorporate new patterns, I, along with the client(s), can address issues that arise from these changes.
