In addition to being a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Phillip Bass is also an ordained Priest in the Episcopal Church.  He holds a Master of Divinity and a Master of Theology from Duke Divinity School.  Phillip often works with clergy and church groups in both his professional role and in the community.  Given the combination of his theological and psychological experience, we offer the following faith based services:

  • Anxiety Groups (6 or 8 weeks)

  • Grief Groups (6 or 8 weeks)

  • LGBTQ+ / Queer Theology Workshops and Trainings

  • Nurture Play Structure Workshops

  • Radical Acceptance Workshops (Embracing Non-Performative Christianity)

  • Vestry Retreats (Communication, Mediation, Team Building, etc.)

  • Individual and Group Discernment

  • Pre-marital Assessments and Reports

  • Others as needed

Phillip offers a sliding scale to clergy who choose to not use insurance for counseling services.  Fees for workshops, trainings, and retreats vary by date, size of the group, and location.  Many denominations offer clergy support, in the form of an Employee Assistance Plan (EAP).  We will be happy to work with your EAP.
