Therapy Sessions

Sessio

Scheduling:

Clients can schedule by emailing info@trinitasservices, calling our main number (919-283-3137), or via the online portal. Unless previously discussed, sessions are schedule for 50 minutes.  Typically, sessions are scheduled weekly or bi-weekly.  Over time, this may change to every 3 weeks or monthly, as therapeutically appropriate.

Clinicians at Trinitas Services see clients Monday-Saturday, 8AM-6PM.  Schedules vary by clinician.

Initial Session:

Clients are asked to complete all intake forms online prior to the initial session.  This allows us time to review the information provided on the forms before we meet.  Because we will not need time during the session for you to complete these forms, we can utilize the time to begin getting to know one another.  We will briefly share information about ourselves and how we approach therapy at the start of the session. We will use the majority of our time addressing your goals (what do you want from our working together?).

Fees and Insurance

Fees

Sessions with Trinitas Services clinicians are scheduled for 50-minutes.  Rates vary by clinician.  Sessions range from $125-$175.  Clinicians who are in private practice in the Trinitas Services office may have different rates.

Please contact us to learn more about our services and rates.

We currently accept both Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna Insurance.  Please verify with your provider that we are "in-network" prior to our first session.  For clients without BCBS or Aetna, we are considered out-of-network.  For these clients we supply a "superbill" which you can submit to your insurance company for partial reimbursement, depending on your particular coverage.  A "superbill" is not a guarantee of reimbursement, please verify out-of-network benefits with your particular insurance plan.

It is the client's responsibility to verify benefits (in-network and out of pocket reimbursement) with their insurance provider prior to their first session.

Please note that insurance does not cover couples therapy, including polyamorous relationship therapy.  This means that all couples therapy sessions, including polyamorous relationships, will be billed directly to clients.

Relationship

Relationship Services

We offer a variety of Relationship Services in addition to couples/family therapy, including premarital sessions, relationship workshops and retreats, and relationship intensives.  Prior to our work together, clients will be asked to complete a short relationship assessment.  Most sessions can be held virtually or in person.  Sessions are focused on healthy communication, setting boundaries, mutual decision making, intimacy and more.  Although there is a planned format for these meetings, adjustments are made for each relationship based on need and the pre-session assessment.

Couples Sessions:

Couples sessions are scheduled similarly to individual sessions.  The clinician typically meet with the couple together for the initial session.  Following that session, we like to meet with each person individually, one time.  Then, we see the couple together for all further sessions.  This approach to scheduling is important, in that it allows the clinician to get to know who you are together, and who you are as individual people.  Our style of couples counseling is to address communication between the couple, to help couples find balance in their relationship, and to improve intimacy.

At times, some couples find that longer sessions are beneficial.  We do offer extended sessions for couples, as needed.  These sessions range from 3-6 hours, with breaks.  Fees are dependent on the length of session, times, and day of the week.

Premarital Sessions:

Premarital sessions with Phillip Bass are scheduled for 2.5 hours.  Premarital sessions are offered during normal business hours, evenings, or weekends.  Costs vary depending upon scheduling.  Sessions scheduled Monday-Wednesday, during normal business hours are $425 per session.  Sessions scheduled outside of normal business hours (including evenings and Saturdays) are $550 per session.  If you need evening or weekend hours, please let us know.

Relationship Workshops and Retreats:

We offer multiple relationship workshops and retreats throughout the year.  You can learn more about these on our website www.trinitasretreats.com

Relationship Intensives:

Relationship intensives with Phillip Bass are 2-day sessions focused on your relationship.  Sessions are held for 4-hours each morning and afternoon with a 1-hour break each day for lunch.  Intensives include psycho-education, skills building exercises, relational (couples) therapy and one-on-one therapy.  Cost for Relationship Intensives depend on location.  For those held in our offices, the cost is $3500.  If we are asked to travel, you will be responsible for travel costs as well.
