EDUCATION & TRAINING:
Justis is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at the Associate Level (LCSWA) in the state of North
Carolina. Justis received a Master of Divinity and Master of Social Work dual degree through
Duke Divinity School and UNC-Chapel Hill (2025). He also received a Bachelor's of Education
degree through the Human Development and Family Studies program at UNC-Chapel Hill (2021).
In addition to these degrees, Justis is also a Provisionally Ordained Deacon in the North Carolina
Conference of the United Methodist Church.
COUNSELING APPROACH:
I employ person-centered therapy modalities that are adaptive and flexible to the needs and
strengths of my clients. I am drawn to these modalities because of the ways that they center
and honor the client as the expert in their own experience. I use various counseling approaches that include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Nurture/Play/Structure therapy, and Narrative Therapy. I believe that the therapeutic process is a journey of exploration, where I get to walk alongside my clients as they seek to understand themselves more clearly.
INSURANCE & FEE:
I am in-network with various Aetna and Blue Cross & Blue Shield plans. My out-of-pocket fee is $125 per session.
AREAS OF EXPERIENCE:
I have previous experience in different settings working with youth and adolescents, particularly those who identify as LGBTQ+
Below is a list of areas of service I am best suited for.
