EDUCATION & TRAINING:

I am a graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at North Carolina

Central University. I am planning to pursue licensure as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I

am an Ordained United Methodist pastor with a Master’s of Divinity. I spent the first 20 years

of my vocation as a United Methodist pastor, walking alongside individuals and communities

through life’s joys and challenges. In 2019, I helped start an inclusive church community that

welcomed people from LGBTQ backgrounds and those who had experienced harm in religious

settings. Through this work, I discovered a deeper calling: to walk alongside people, listen, and

journey together toward greater wellbeing.

COUNSELING APPROACH:

I approach therapy through an integrated and client-centered lens, drawing from evidence-based practices to work collaboratively to help meet your unique needs and goals. My approach is flexible, collaborative, and tailored to each individual or couple.

Modalities I incorporate include:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Narrative Therapy

  • Solution Focused Therapy

  • Person-Centered Therapy
