Terms of Use

Effective Date: September 1, 2026  |  Last Updated: September 1, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website located at www.trinitasservices.com and any content, materials, publications, continuing education programs, and services made available through it (collectively, the “Site”). Please read them carefully.

By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

IF THIS IS AN EMERGENCY, DO NOT USE THIS SITE. This website is not monitored continuously and is not a means of obtaining emergency or crisis care. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, are thinking about harming yourself or someone else, or need immediate help, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency department.

1. Who We Are

Trinitas Services (“Trinitas,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a group mental health practice located at 1777 Fordham Blvd., Suite 204, Chapel Hill, NC 27514. In addition to clinical services, Trinitas publishes educational materials and offers continuing education for mental health professionals.

2. No Clinician–Client Relationship

Using this Site does not create a clinician–client, therapist–patient, or professional relationship between you and Trinitas Services or any of our clinicians. Reading content on the Site, downloading materials, completing a continuing education program, or submitting the contact or appointment request form does not, by itself, establish care. A professional relationship begins only when you and a clinician have met, completed intake and informed consent, and agreed to work together.

Submitting a request through the Site does not guarantee that we can accept you as a client, and we cannot guarantee a response within any particular time frame.

3. Content Is Educational, Not Clinical Advice

All content on the Site — including articles, descriptions of the Nurture · Play · Structure (NPS) Model, worksheets, book and workbook excerpts, videos, and continuing education material — is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. It is not clinical advice, a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a substitute for evaluation and care by a qualified professional who knows your situation.

Never disregard professional advice or delay seeking it because of something you read or viewed on the Site. Outcomes described in examples, case illustrations, and composite scenarios are illustrative only, and no particular result is promised or implied.

4. Books, Workbooks, and NPS Materials

4.1 Ownership

The Nurture · Play · Structure (NPS) Model and all associated materials are the intellectual property of Trinitas Services and its author. This includes, without limitation:

  • The book Nurture · Play · Structure: Finding the Balance to Be Yourself;

  • The NPS Plus Workbook and the NPS worksheet library;

  • The NPS 90-Day Reflection Journal;

  • Continuing education curricula, slides, handouts, videos, and assessments;

  • The NPS name, logo, diagrams, illustrations, color system, and other brand elements; and

  • All text, graphics, and design of the Site itself.

These materials are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Nothing on the Site transfers ownership or grants any license except as expressly stated below.

4.2 What You May Do

Subject to these Terms, and provided you have lawfully obtained the material:

  • Personal use. You may read, download, and print materials for your own personal, non-commercial use.

  • Clinical use by a purchasing clinician. A licensed clinician who has purchased a workbook, worksheet, or journal may reproduce individual worksheets for use with that clinician’s own clients, in that clinician’s own practice, at no charge to the client. This permission is personal to the purchasing clinician and does not extend to colleagues, agencies, group practices, or students.

  • Brief quotation. You may quote brief excerpts with clear attribution to Trinitas Services and the Nurture · Play · Structure Model.

4.3 What You May Not Do

Except with our prior written permission, you may not:

  • Reproduce, distribute, post, or share materials beyond the permissions above, including on file-sharing sites, learning platforms, intranets, or social media;

  • Sell, license, sublicense, or otherwise commercialize any NPS material;

  • Use NPS materials to teach, train, supervise, or deliver continuing education to others, or incorporate them into your own curriculum, program, or product;

  • Create derivative works, adaptations, or translations;

  • Remove or alter copyright notices, attributions, watermarks, or branding;

  • Represent yourself as certified, credentialed, endorsed, or affiliated with the NPS Model or Trinitas Services absent a written agreement; or

  • Use any material to train, fine-tune, or ground an artificial intelligence or machine learning system, or scrape the Site by automated means.

4.4 Purchases Through Third-Party Retailers

Our books and journals may be sold through third-party retailers. Those purchases are governed by the retailer’s own terms, pricing, shipping, and return policies, not by these Terms. We are not responsible for third-party retailer transactions, though the ownership and use restrictions in this Section 4 continue to apply to the materials themselves.

5. Continuing Education Programs

5.1 About Our Programs

Trinitas Services offers continuing education (CE) for mental health professionals based on the NPS Model, including live and interactive programs and self-paced home study. Program descriptions, learning objectives, presenter qualifications, the number of CE hours offered, and the applicable approval number are published with each program.

Trinitas Services is awaiting approval by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. [AWAITING APPROVAL]. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Trinitas Services is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

5.2 Eligibility and Registration

CE programs are intended for licensed or license-eligible mental health professionals and graduate students in the field. Registration is complete when payment is received and we confirm your enrollment. You agree that the information you provide at registration — including your name, license type, and license number where required — is accurate, and that you will not share your registration or access credentials with anyone else.

5.3 Fees and Payment

Fees are stated at registration and are payable in advance. We may change pricing at any time, but a change will not affect a registration already confirmed. You are responsible for any applicable taxes.

5.4 Cancellation and Refunds

We want you to be satisfied with our programs.

  • Home study programs: A full refund is available if you request it within 7 days of purchase and before you have downloaded or accessed the course materials. Once materials have been accessed or a CE certificate has been issued, the registration is non-refundable.

  • Live and interactive programs: A full refund is available if you cancel at least 7 days before the program date. Cancellations received fewer than 7 days before the program may be applied as credit toward a future program. No refund is available after a program has begun.

  • If we cancel: If Trinitas cancels or materially reschedules a program, you may transfer to another offering or receive a full refund, at your choice.

To request a refund or cancellation, contact us at info@trinitasservices.com.

5.5 Attendance, Completion, and Certificates

CE hours are awarded only to participants who meet the stated completion requirements, which may include full attendance, completion of all modules, a passing score on a post-test, and submission of the program evaluation. Certificates are issued after those requirements are met. Partial credit is not awarded. Please retain your certificate; we maintain participant records as required by our approving body.

5.6 Accommodations

We are committed to making our programs accessible. If you need an accommodation to participate, contact us at info@trinitasservices.com in advance of the program and we will work with you to make reasonable arrangements.

5.7 Concerns and Grievances

If you have a concern about program content, a presenter, accessibility, or how a program was administered, please contact us at info@trinitasservices.com or 919-275-2137. We will acknowledge your concern promptly and work with you toward a resolution, which may include additional materials, transfer to another program, or a refund. Our full grievance procedure is available on request.

5.8 Acceptance by Licensing Boards

You are responsible for confirming that a program is accepted by your own licensing board. Requirements vary by state and by profession, and we cannot guarantee that any particular board will accept a given program for credit.

5.9 Program Materials

Course materials are licensed to you for your individual professional use only and remain subject to the restrictions in Section 4. Recording, photographing, or transmitting any portion of a live program is not permitted without our prior written consent.

6. Communications and the Client Portal

The Site’s contact form is intended for general inquiries and requests to be contacted. Please do not send detailed health information, crisis messages, or time-sensitive requests through the form or by unencrypted email or text.

Clients access our secure client portal through SimplePractice. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your portal credentials and for all activity under your account, and you agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. Use of the portal is also subject to SimplePractice’s own terms of service.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Site to:

  • Violate any law or infringe anyone’s rights;

  • Submit false, misleading, or impersonating information;

  • Upload malicious code, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, the portal, or any account;

  • Interfere with the operation or security of the Site, including through automated scraping or excessive requests; or

  • Post or transmit content that is harassing, defamatory, or that discloses another person’s confidential or health information.

We may suspend or terminate access to the Site or to any program for conduct that violates these Terms.

8. Third-Party Sites and Links

The Site may link to third-party websites, directories, retailers, and platforms. We provide those links for convenience and do not control, endorse, or accept responsibility for their content, products, or practices. Your use of a third-party site is governed by that site’s own terms and privacy policy.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that content is complete or current. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trinitas Services and its owners, clinicians, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Site or its content, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site or a continuing education program will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the program or material giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing in these Terms alters the professional obligations we owe to clients in the course of clinical care.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Trinitas Services and its owners, clinicians, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, losses, and reasonable attorneys’ fees arising out of your misuse of the Site, your breach of these Terms, or your infringement of any intellectual property or other right.

12. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Site and how we use it, and our Notice of Privacy Practices governs protected health information created in the course of clinical care. Both are available on the Site and are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with an updated effective date, and changes take effect when posted. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, North Carolina, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

15. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will remain in full force. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Trinitas Services regarding the Site. Separate written agreements — including client informed consent documents and any licensing or training agreement — control over these Terms with respect to their subject matter.
