EDUCATION & TRAINING:

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist.

I earned a Master of Counselor Education, Clinical Mental Health, at North Carolina Central

University in August of 2021.  I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor in Idaho and a

Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in Vermont.

COUNSELING APPROACH:

I apply a Person-Centered approach to counseling which means rather than viewing people

with mental health needs as inherently flawed, with problematic behaviors and thoughts that

require treatment, I recognize that each person has the capacity and desire for personal growth

and change. I use various counseling techniques such as unconditional positive regard, and

theories such as Nurture Play Structure (NPS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, narrative therapy, and Gestalt therapy as well as Psychoeducation to provide the utmost individualized plan of care and professional counseling support. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process and guides clients to increase self-awareness, gain new perspectives. Through my work, I strive to foster a safe space where clients can tell their story, gain insight into how that has impacted them, and create a new reality that is more fulfilling.

I received Specialized Substance Addiction Training from the North Carolina Central University while completing his Master’s Degree.
